CelcomDigi honours Malaysian champions in 2026 campaign film

Telco giant celebrates rising talents from esports to sports with year-end deals and inspiring tribute

MALAYSIA’s largest mobile network operator is welcoming the new year by spotlighting the nation’s emerging talents across sports, arts, and digital creativity.

CelcomDigi has launched “The Network of Tomorrow’s Champions,” a short film celebrating individuals who exemplify courage, resilience, and ambition. The campaign reflects the telecommunications company’s mission to connect people, communities, and opportunities nationwide.

The film showcases diverse Malaysian achievers who have transformed passion into accomplishment.

From the competitive gaming world, esports organization Selangor Red Giants (SRG.OG) represents Malaysia’s growing presence in international tournaments.

Athletic achievements are highlighted through multiple champions: Soh Wai Ching, a decorated towerrunning competitor; Emma Firyana Saroji, who made history as Lawn Bowls Malaysia’s first World Cup Women’s Singles Champion; and 13-year-old Qabil Irfan, who claimed victory at the Espana Superbike Championship.

The sepak takraw scene features rising players Wan Muhammad Ammar Asyraf bin Wan Azizie Nazri and Aliff Ziqri bin Jasmin, demonstrating the traditional sport’s continued relevance.

Beyond athletics, the campaign spotlights creative and conservation efforts. Small Towns Malaysia, an award-winning documentary content creator, captures stories from across the country. Graffiti artist Wilson Ng gained recognition for creating Sabah’s largest mural. Marine biologist and conservationist Alvin Chelliah represents environmental protection efforts.

According to the company, these individuals embody the principle that every champion’s journey begins with an initial step, and that proper support can lead to significant achievements contributing to a more connected Malaysia.

CelcomDigi noted its own growth trajectory mirrors the perseverance of featured champions. The company reported serving over 20 million Malaysians, which has enabled it to build what it describes as the country’s widest, fastest, and most secure network infrastructure.

Throughout 2025, the telco expanded connectivity across urban and rural areas, supported esports venues and grassroots initiatives, and created platforms for content creators and athletes to flourish.

The company attributed this year’s milestones to customer confidence and trust from the outset.

The complete campaign film is available on CelcomDigi’s official YouTube channel.
