McLaren’s Lando Norris clinches his first F1 title, ending Max Verstappen’s four-year reign by finishing third in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
LANDO NORRIS secured his maiden Formula One world drivers’ championship at the season finale in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
The victory ended the four-year title reign of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
Norris, driving for McLaren, finished third in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix behind race winner Verstappen and his own teammate, Oscar Piastri.
That result was enough for the Briton to claim the championship crown by a margin of just two points. – AFP
