Kelantan edge Sabah 3-2 in thrilling Super League clash

Kelantan The Real Warriors FC held off a late Sabah FC rally to secure a 3-2 victory in a dramatic Super League match at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.

KELANTAN The Real Warriors FC secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Sabah FC in a pulsating Super League encounter at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium.

The home side opened the scoring in the sixth minute through Alexandre Yeoule, who tapped in a rebound after Sabah goalkeeper Damien Lim failed to hold an initial shot.

Sabah FC responded quickly, with Darren Lok finishing a cross from the right flank to equalise just three minutes later.

Kelantan regained the lead in the 16th minute when Simen Alexander headed home from a goalmouth scramble.

Asraf Aliffudin extended the advantage to 3-1 in the 23rd minute with a composed finish after latching onto a long pass inside the box.

Sabah FC emerged more aggressively after the break, mounting sustained pressure on the Kelantan defence.

The visitors’ second goal finally came in the fifth minute of stoppage time via an Ajdin Mujagic penalty, awarded for a handball.

In another match, Terengganu FC collected three points with a narrow 1-0 win over DPMM FC at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.

The home side dominated the first half and broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute through Engku Muhammad Nur Shakir Engku Yacob.

Engku Yacob scored following a solo run from midfield to give Terengganu a lead they would not relinquish.

DPMM FC goalkeeper Muhammad Haimie Abdullah Nyaring denied Shervoni Mabatshoev a second goal for Terengganu with a save in the 52nd minute.
