LONDON: Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is to bring down the curtain on his stellar career at Premier League side Liverpool at the end of the season.

AFP Sport highlights in statistics the forward’s extraordinary contribution to a golden era for the storied club:

Joined Liverpool: 2017 from AS Roma for £34 million ($45.5 million)

Goals (all competitions): 255 — third in club’s all-time list behind Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285)

He was the fastest in club history to 100 league goals, taking just 151 matches to achieve the landmark

Assists — 119 including a joint club record of 92 (along with Steven Gerrard) in the Premier League

European goals — a club record 53, with 48 of those in the Champions League. He scored the fastest ever goal in the club’s European Cup/Champions League history (they are six-time winners) when he netted against Danish outfit FC Midtyjlland in 2020 after 55 seconds.

Most goals against Premier League rivals — Scored 16 against Manchester United, with Tottenham Hotspur close behind on 14
