Tottenham fans demand Frank’s sacking after Burnley draw, Liverpool lose

Thomas Frank faces sack calls as Spurs draw with Burnley, while Liverpool’s unbeaten run ends at Bournemouth. Man City close gap on Arsenal.

THOMAS Frank faced renewed calls for his dismissal from angry Tottenham fans after a 2-2 draw at Premier League strugglers Burnley.

The result came on a day when Bournemouth ended Liverpool’s long unbeaten run with a dramatic 3-2 victory.

Manchester City beat bottom club Wolves 2-0 to close within four points of leaders Arsenal, who host Manchester United on Sunday.

Spurs boss Frank is under intense pressure just seven months into his reign, seemingly powerless to halt a domestic slide.

Captain Cristian Romero’s 90th-minute header salvaged a point at Turf Moor but failed to placate frustrated travelling supporters.

Tottenham had led through Micky van de Ven before goals from Axel Tuanzebe and substitute Lyle Foster turned the match around.

A large section of fans made it clear they had run out of patience with Frank, whose team are winless in five league games in 2026.

“We could and should have been out of sight,” said the former Brentford boss. “We just need to keep going.”

Mohamed Salah started a Premier League match for Liverpool for the first time since November but Arne Slot’s men lost on the south coast.

The visitors fell 2-0 behind to Evanilson and Alex Jimenez before Virgil van Dijk reduced the deficit in first-half stoppage time.

Dominik Szoboszlai equalised in the 80th minute but Amine Adli prodded home a 93rd-minute winner for Bournemouth after a goalmouth scramble.

“Last minute of the game is very tough to take,” Van Dijk told Sky Sports. “The consistency we are looking for still needs to be found.”

Manchester City ended a four-game winless league run with a comfortable victory against Wolves at the Etihad Stadium.

Erling Haaland was benched and new signing Marc Guehi made his debut amid a defensive injury crisis.

Omar Marmoush put City ahead early with his first Premier League goal of the season, finishing a Matheus Nunes cross.

Antoine Semenyo made it 2-0 shortly before half-time, scoring his third goal for the club since arriving from Bournemouth this month.

In other matches, Fulham came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 with a Harry Wilson stoppage-time winner.

West Ham beat Sunderland 3-1 to climb within two points of Premier League safety.
