PUBG MOBILE has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), marking a significant nationwide collaboration aimed at nurturing the next generation of talent across gaming, esports, and digital industries.
The partnership extends across UiTM’s extensive campus network, reinforcing a shared commitment to student development, innovation, and future-ready skills.
The collaboration opens up a wide range of opportunities for UiTM students, including placements for academic study, industrial training, and research initiatives.
Beyond the classroom, the partnership will actively engage the student body through the establishment of official esports clubs, the organization of esports tournaments, and a variety of interactive activities designed to build both competitive and creative skills.
Both parties will also collaborate on organizing symposia, conferences, short courses, and meetings on issues of mutual interest, while exchanging insights on developments in teaching, student development, and research.
Through these joint efforts, PUBG MOBILE and UiTM aim to provide students with tangible learning and career development opportunities specifically related to gaming, product management, and digital media.
Looking ahead, the partnership will introduce a nationwide PUBG MOBILE campus tournament across the UiTM network, offering students the chance to compete at scale and potentially secure slots into the professional esports league.
In addition, dedicated campaigns will be rolled out to support and grow student content creators, empowering them to build their presence within the gaming and digital content ecosystem.
“Through this milestone collaboration with UiTM, we are committed to supporting students across Malaysia by creating real opportunities for them to explore the gaming and esports industry at an unprecedented scale.
“By integrating our ecosystem with one of the nation’s largest academic networks, we are bridging the gap between passion and professional excellence. This MoU is only the beginning; we envision this as a foundational step toward a series of long-term initiatives that will empower students to develop valuable skills, express their creativity, and turn their passion into a sustainable career in the digital economy,” said Product Manager of PUBG MOBILE Malaysia, Ashley Phuah.
Meanwhile, Prof Datuk Ts. Dr. Shahrin Sahib @ Sahibuddin, Vice Chancellor of UiTM, said, “This collaboration reflects UiTM’s commitment to providing holistic and future-focused education for our students nationwide.
“By working with PUBG MOBILE, we are able to expand learning opportunities beyond traditional pathways, equipping our students with relevant skills in esports, digital media, and emerging industries that continue to shape the future workforce,”
