Sivasangari’s ToC run ends in quarter-finals against Weaver

Malaysian squash star S. Sivasangari’s Tournament of Champions campaign ends in the quarter-finals with a four-game defeat to USA’s Olivia Weaver.

NATIONAL squash player S. Sivasangari’s journey at the Tournament of Champions (ToC) 2026 concluded in the quarter-finals.

She was defeated by world number four Olivia Weaver of the United States in four games in New York.

The Malaysian fought hard but ultimately lost 5-11, 8-11, 11-5, 8-11 to her higher-ranked opponent.

Weaver maintained greater consistency throughout the match to secure her victory.

The 27-year-old Sivasangari showed resilience to win the third game and stay in contention.

However, Weaver regrouped to close out the match and advance to the semi-finals.

The defeat ended Sivasangari’s challenge in the Platinum-tier tournament following an impressive earlier win.

This marked her first quarter-final appearance at the prestigious event after exiting in the first round last year.
