vivo launches X300 FE and Ultra, bringing pro imaging to Malaysia

vivo X300 FE and X300 Ultra offer cinematic videography, powerful telephoto cameras and premium smartphone experiences for creators.

vivo Malaysia has officially unveiled two new additions to its flagship smartphone lineup — the vivo X300 FE and vivo X300 Ultra — targeting users who prioritise professional-grade photography, cinematic videography and high-performance mobile experiences.

The dual launch marks vivo’s biggest push yet into Malaysia’s premium smartphone segment, with both devices heavily focused on advanced ZEISS co-engineered imaging technology, AI-powered photography tools and long-term software support.

Designed for urban users seeking a compact yet capable flagship device, the vivo X300 FE combines advanced imaging features with a slim and lightweight design.

At the heart of the device is a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera, 50MP ZEISS Main Camera and a 110-degree ultra-wide camera designed for travel photography, street shots and concert photography.

One of its standout features is the new vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, which enables up to a 200mm equivalent focal length. The upgraded accessory now weighs just 153g, significantly lighter than its predecessor at 210g, while maintaining optical quality for long-distance shooting.

The X300 FE also introduces several AI-powered imaging enhancements, including AI True Clarity Engine, AI Magic Move, AI Image Expander, AI Reflection Erase and AI Erase.

Concertgoers may particularly appreciate the dedicated Stage Mode, designed to improve telephoto portrait clarity and colour accuracy under difficult lighting conditions. The device also supports Dual-View Stage Video, allowing users to simultaneously record the stage and their own reactions.

For creators, the smartphone supports 4K 60fps video recording, 4K 120fps ultra-clear recording and 8K 30fps video capture.

Beyond imaging, the device features flagship-level hardware, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, a 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery, 90W FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging.

The vivo X300 FE also comes with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, along with vivo’s latest OriginOS 6 operating system, which promises five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security support.

Available in Mist Purple, Glow White and Luxe Black, the X300 FE weighs just 191g and measures 7.99mm thin.

Meanwhile, the vivo X300 Ultra positions itself as vivo’s ultimate imaging flagship and notably marks the first global launch of an Ultra X Series device outside China.

The smartphone features what vivo calls the “ZEISS Master Lenses Collection”, consisting of a 14mm ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera, 35mm ZEISS Documentary Camera and 85mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera.

The system is paired with optical image stabilisation (OIS) across all lenses and enhanced by vivo’s latest computational photography technologies.

Its headline feature is the 200MP 85mm APO telephoto camera, capable of capturing detailed long-range shots while supporting 60fps autofocus tracking for fast-moving subjects such as sports, wildlife and concerts.

The X300 Ultra also supports the new 400mm equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, designed for ultra-long-range photography while maintaining APO-grade optical standards.

For videographers and content creators, the X300 Ultra introduces multi-focal 4K 120fps 10-bit log video, Dolby Vision recording, Pro Video Mode, ACES workflow compatibility and Custom 3D LUT preview support.

vivo is also expanding into professional mobile filmmaking with the launch of the vivo SmallRig Pro Video Rig Kit, which adds dual-hand grips, accessory mounts, cooling support and physical controls for a more cinema-style shooting experience.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside vivo’s Pro Imaging Chip VS1+, supported by a 6,600mAh battery with 100W FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging.

Other premium features include a 2K ZEISS Master Colour Display, 4,500-nits peak brightness, a 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner 2.0, Armour Glass protection and IP68 and IP69 durability ratings.

The X300 Ultra comes in Volcano Black and Steppe Green finishes, with a design inspired by classic professional cameras.

The vivo X300 FE is priced from RM3,299 for the 24GB + 256GB variant, while the vivo X300 Ultra starts from RM5,899 for the 32GB + 512GB model.

Both devices are available for pre-order in Malaysia until May 22, 2026 through vivo Malaysia’s official website and vivo Concept Stores nationwide.

Customers who pre-order the X300 FE will receive complimentary gifts, including a JBL speaker and vivo Buds Pro, while X300 Ultra buyers can enjoy cashback offers, a COMAN Aluminium Photography Tripod and discounts on vivo’s telephoto extender accessories.
