Beyonce finally breaks her duck to take home prestigious Album of the Year Award

AMID the wildfires that was sweeping Los Angeles, the talk around the 67th Grammy Awards was whether Beyonce would finally take home one of the big prizes. Despite being the most nominated artiste in Grammy history, the 43-year-old has never won Album of the Year or Record of the Year Awards. However, her genre busting Cowboy Carter long player has finally fixed that by winning the Album of the Year Grammy.

Long lost Beatles’ tune Now and Then picked up a Grammy for Best Rock Performance which will surely ignite heated debate over use of AI in recording technology.

There was plenty of time and tributes for the first responders, not least the firefighters, who have bravely fought against the raging fires that has reduced much of LA to ashes. There was also fund raising efforts to help those displaced and adversely affected by the worst natural disaster to hit the entertainment capital.
