THE beloved American actress Jennifer Aniston reportedly finds it difficult to come to terms with the sudden and unexpected passing of her former Friends co-star, Matthew Perry, on Oct 28.

This loss comes within a year of her father’s death, making it an especially challenging time for the 54-year-old Emmy Award winner. Perry is said to have tragically drowned in a hot tub at his Pacific Palisades residence.

According to a source who spoke to Page Six, “Out of the remaining five, Jen and Courtney Cox are reeling the most and Jen is probably the one who is struggling most acutely.”

“It is a second massive loss in less than a year, with the first anniversary of her dad’s death just around the corner. She still has not fully regained her footing from that and now this has just completely knocked her off her feet.”

The source added, “Despite doing her best to regroup and recover, Perry’s death has been a completely devastating blow.”

The actress joined her fellow cast members, Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc, at Perry’s funeral, which took place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles. Notably, the cemetery is just minutes away from Warner Bros Studios, where they filmed the NBC sitcom Friends for a decade.

The group, all dressed in black suits, gathered outside the church, looking grief-stricken as they provided mutual support. A person who attended the event informed the Daily Mail that “Aniston was one of the first to arrive and maintained a low profile during this high-profile gathering.”

Perry’s grieving mother, Suzanne Morrison, 84, and her husband, Dateline journalist Keith Morrison, 76, attended the private event, as did his father, John, 82. Morrison also served as one of the pallbearers.
