Seaweed startup Uluu attracts $13.6M to scale world-first plastic alternative

Uluu, an Australian startup transforming seaweed into a natural plastic alternative, has secured $13.6 million in Series A funding led by Burda Principal Investments. The company plans to build a 10-tonne demonstration plant in Western Australia to scale production and deliver eco-friendly, compostable, and marine-biodegradable materials that could significantly reduce global carbon emissions.
