White House welcomes Russian offer to extend nuclear treaty

WASHINGTON: The White House said on Monday that Russia’s proposed one-year extension to the last treaty limiting both countries’ nuclear weapons “sounds pretty good.”

Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that U.S. President Donald Trump is aware of the proposal and wishes to make public comments on it. – Reuters
