Local makeup artist claims client has not paid for RM200 service since last year

A Malaysian makeup artist gives a client until January 15 to pay an overdue RM200 fee from last year, sparking online debate about client payments.

A local make-up artist has claimed that a client has failed to pay for her services since last year.

In a screenshot of their conversation posted on Threads, the make-up artist said she had given the client ample time to settle the payment, extending the deadline from September 2025 until this month.

“I will wait until 15 January 2026 for the RM200 payment. If you continue to remain silent until the deadline, I will lodge a police report,” she told the client.

She later sent two additional messages, demanding a response regarding the outstanding payment.

“Do you think your praises are worth RM200? Please pay up — this is just sad,” she added.

As her post gained traction online, netizens rallied behind the make-up artist, expressing shock at the client’s alleged failure to settle the payment.

One user advised the make-up artist to require deposit payments from clients to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Other make-up artists also shared their own experiences of unpaid services in the comments section, sparking a broader discussion on professionalism and client ethics within the industry.
