Dominik Szoboszlai scored a screamer but made a costly error as Liverpool beat Barnsley 4-1 to set up a fourth-round tie with Brighton.
DOMINIK Szoboszlai was both hero and villain as Liverpool progressed to the FA Cup fourth round with a 4-1 win over Barnsley.
The Hungarian midfielder opened the scoring at Anfield with a spectacular long-range strike into the top corner.
Jeremie Frimpong doubled Liverpool’s advantage before the interval.

Szoboszlai then gifted the League One side a lifeline with a disastrous backheel in his own box, allowing Adam Phillips to score.
Barnsley manager Conor Hourihane was incensed his side were not awarded a second-half penalty for a Szoboszlai trip on Reyes Cleary.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot introduced key substitutes Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch after the hour mark.
The hosts struggled to create chances until their star substitutes combined twice late on.
Ekitike’s clever flick set up Wirtz to curl home his third goal in five games for the club.
Wirtz then turned provider in stoppage time, crossing for Ekitike to tap in a simple finish.
Liverpool will now face Brighton at home in the fourth round after the Seagulls knocked out Manchester United. – AFP
