Farm Price secures SC approval for Bursa Malaysia Main Market transfer

SENAI: Farm Price Holdings Bhd has received approval from the Securities Commission Malaysia to transfer the listing and quotation of the entire issued share capital and the warrants of Farm Price from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.

The Johor-based wholesaler and distributor of fresh vegetables, food and beverage (F&B) products and other groceries, views
this significant milestone as not only the group’s continued growth, operational maturity, and commitment to transparency and corporate governance, but also Malaysia’s food security agenda.

Managing director Dr Lawrence Tiong Lee Chian said fresh vegetables are a vital part of everyday life, and the group is committed to being a reliable and consistent supplier of high-quality produce across the region.

“Migrating to the Main Market has always been our goal, as it will further enhance our visibility among institutional and retail investors, improve access to capital markets, and strengthen our platform to support expansion across both our core markets in Malaysia and Singapore.

“In addition, the move shall also elevate our stature, especially when dealing with our cross-border customers and suppliers.

“Overall, the impending Main Market transfer underscores Farm Price’s strategic trajectory and further distinguishes the group as a pioneering listed fresh vegetable distributor in Malaysia,” he said.

To recap, Farm Price is the first fresh vegetable distributor to be listed on the ACE Market back in May 2024, highlighting its unique positioning in the Malaysian corporate landscape.

Looking ahead, Tiong said the group remains focused on scaling up operational capacity to meet rising demand from both domestic and Singapore markets.

“We target to commence operations of our expanded Centralised Distribution Centre in Senai in the next few months.

“Along with this latest approval for our transfer to the Main Market, we are positive on our prospects and aim to deliver sustainable growth to our shareholders,” he said.
