Dr Muhamad Akmal was reported yesterday saying he would abide by decisions made by Ahmad Zahid and Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
He currently serves as the Merlimau state assemblyman and Melaka Rural Development, Agriculture and Food Security Committee chairman.
Media reports indicated he hinted at stepping down after his calls for Umno to withdraw from the Unity Government drew a negative response from the party president. – Bernama
