Bekas koperal, dua lans koperal didakwa terima rasuah Rm20,000

IPOH: Seorang bekas anggota polis berpangkat koperal dan dua anggota berpangkat lans koperal mengaku tidak bersalah di Mahkamah Sesyen di sini hari ini atas dua pertuduhan menerima rasuah RM20,000 sebagai balasan tidak mengambil tindakan terhadap pesalah dadah dua tahun lepas.

Wan Mohd Nor Imran Wan Seman, 35, yang kini bekerja sebagai pemandu lori bersama Ahmad Rabani Rusnizal, 29, dan Mohamad Shukre Mohamed Rowi, 37, membuat pengakuan itu di hadapan Hakim Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi.

Mengikut pertuduhan pertama, ketiga-tiga tertuduh yang bertugas di Unit Cawangan Pencegahan Jenayah (CPJ) Balai Polis Merbok, Kedah didakwa bersama-sama secara rasuah memperoleh suapan wang RM10,000 melalui pindahan wang daripada akaun milik Azizi Norhafizi Abu Bakar ke akaun Ahmad Rabani pada kira-kira 3 pagi 24 Julai 2023, di premis BSN-CPI Kamunting, Perak.

Wang itu sebagai dorongan untuk tidak mengambil tindakan terhadap Azizi Norhafizi yang memiliki dadah jenis syabu, iaitu kesalahan di bawah Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952.

Bagi pertuduhan kedua, mereka sekali lagi didakwa atas perbuatan sama melibatkan jumlah dan lokasi sama pada 25 Julai 2023.

Pertuduhan dikemukakan mengikut Seksyen 17(a) Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) 2009 dan dibaca bersama Seksyen 34 Kanun Keseksaan yang memperuntukkan hukuman penjara maksimum 20 tahun serta denda tidak kurang lima kali ganda nilai suapan atau RM10,000, mengikut mana lebih tinggi, jika sabit kesalahan.

Pendakwaan dikendalikan Pegawai Pendakwa Raya SPRM Mohd Zulfadli Azharudin manakala ketiga-tiga tertuduh diwakili peguam Siti Salwa Ja’afar.

Mahkamah membenarkan setiap tertuduh diikat jamin sebanyak RM5,000 dengan seorang penjamin dan menetapkan 26 Jun untuk sebutan semula kes.
