Flood evacuees in Sarawak drop to 507 as four relief centres remain open in Sibu and Bintulu divisions, with numbers falling since morning.
SIBU: The number of flood victims seeking shelter in Sarawak has continued to decline this afternoon.
A total of 507 people from 158 families are now housed at temporary relief centres as of 4 pm, down from 611 people from 194 families this morning.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) reported that four relief centres remain operational across the Sibu and Bintulu divisions.

In Sibu, the relief centre at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Assek is accommodating six evacuees from one family.
The Dewan Suarah relief centre in Bintulu is currently housing 251 people from 73 families.
Numbers have also fallen at the two other centres in Bintulu.
The Balai Raya Sebauh centre now shelters 143 people from 51 families, down from 150 people from 54 families.
SMK Sebauh is housing 107 people from 33 families, a decrease from 177 people from 54 families recorded this morning. – Bernama
