All 34 stalled PR1MA housing projects to be completed by March

Malaysia’s housing ministry confirms all 34 previously sick or abandoned PR1MA projects will be fully completed and handed over to buyers by March.

GEORGE TOWN: The Ministry of Housing and Local Government aims to complete all previously stalled PR1MA Corporation Malaysia housing projects by March.

Minister Nga Kor Ming said 34 projects were categorised as sick or abandoned when he first took office.

He made a promise to PR1MA CEO Brian Iskandar Zulkarim that all 34 would be 100% complete by Hari Raya this March.

“All these projects have obtained the Certificate of Completion and Compliance, and the keys will be handed over to the buyers,” Nga said at a key handover ceremony.

He described the achievement as a new beginning for the country’s housing sector.

Nga was speaking at the Ideal Venice Residency Affordable Housing key handover event, also attended by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

Twenty homeowners received keys to their new homes at the ceremony.

Brian Iskandar confirmed 33 of the stalled projects are fully completed.

He said one final project is in its final stages and expected to be fully completed by March.

Ideal Venice offers 1,632 condominium units priced at RM300,000 each.

Each 850-square-foot unit features three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a private balcony.

The project includes premium facilities like a swimming pool, gymnasium, and sports courts.

Meanwhile, Chow said Penang’s Affordable Housing supply target under the Penang2030 Vision has reached 77.35%.

He stated 170,706 units have been realised out of a target of 220,000 units by 2030.

For the Rent-To-Own scheme, 5,096 units have been achieved from a target of 22,000 units.
