10 laluan utama Ipoh ditutup, dilencongkan sempena Thaipusam

10 laluan di Ipoh ditutup berperingkat untuk perarakan Thaipusam dari 31 Jan hingga 3 Feb, orang ramai dinasihat guna lapan laluan alternatif

IPOH: Sebanyak 10 laluan di sekitar bandar raya ini akan ditutup dan dilencongkan secara berperingkat sempena sambutan Thaipusam.

Ketua Polis Daerah Ipoh ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad berkata penutupan jalan itu akan dilaksanakan selama empat hari bagi melancarkan perarakan pedati.

Perarakan dari Kuil Sri Maha Mariamman, Sungai Pari, Buntong ke Kuil Sri Subramaniar, Gunung Cheroh bermula 6 pagi 31 Jan dan dijangka selesai tengah hari.

Perarakan balik dari Kuil Sri Subramaniar ke Kuil Sri Maha Mariamman bermula 5 petang 3 Feb dan dijangka berakhir tengah hari 4 Feb.

Antara laluan yang ditutup ialah Jalan Sungai Pari ke Jalan Tun Perak, Jalan Lahat, Jalan Perhentian dan Jalan Sultan Yusof.

Laluan lain yang turut ditutup termasuk Jalan Sultan Idris Shah ke simpang lampu isyarat Jalan Laksamana dan Jalan Raja Musa Aziz.

Orang ramai dinasihatkan menggunakan lapan laluan alternatif bagi mengelakkan kesesakan lalu lintas.

Laluan alternatif tersebut ialah Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah dan Jalan Raja Dihilir.

Laluan lain termasuk Jalan C.M. Yusof, Jalan Yang Kalsom dan Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil.

Seramai 500,000 orang dijangka menghadiri sambutan Thaipusam kali ini.

Polis menasihatkan semua pengguna jalan raya di sekitar Ipoh agar merancang perjalanan awal.

Mereka juga diminta menggunakan laluan alternatif bagi mengurangkan kesesakan.

Orang ramai turut diingatkan supaya sentiasa mematuhi arahan polis trafik yang bertugas di lokasi.
