A covered futsal court in Kampung Chengal Lempong, Kuantan, is now open, built with RM500,000 under the Kampung Angkat MADANI programme.
KUANTAN: A new covered futsal court in Kampung Chengal Lempong has been completed and opened for community use.
Political Secretary to the Prime Minister Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi said the facility was constructed under the Kampung Angkat MADANI initiative.
The project received an allocation of RM500,000 for the village.
He stated that the adopted village programme was inspired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
It focuses on improving basic infrastructure and public facilities while strengthening social well-being.
The initiative also aims to support youth development and community resilience, particularly in rural areas.
“The court was built to provide a safe, more suitable sports facility for the local community,” Ahmad Farhan said.
He added that it supports youth activities at the village level in line with the MADANI initiative.
“It is hoped the facility will be fully used by the local youths as a platform to promote a healthy lifestyle and strengthen community spirit, Insya-Allah,” he said in a Facebook post.
Ahmad Farhan recently visited the project site with the director of the Pahang Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU), Datuk Razihan Adzharuddin, and his team.
He was briefed on the project during the site visit.
