Harga sayuran di pasaran stabil Mac tahun depan – Mohamad Sabu

TUMPAT: Harga sayur-sayuran di pasaran tempatan dijangka kembali stabil pada Mac tahun depan selepas berakhirnya Monsun Timur Laut (MTL), kata Menteri Pertanian dan Keterjaminan Makanan Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.

Beliau berkata cuaca tidak menentu kini menyebabkan bekalan sayur berkurangan dan harga jualan meningkat.

“Setiap kali musim tengkujuh akan berlaku masalah tersebut dan kita memang ada terima laporan berhubung perkara ini yang mana harga sayur yang dijual di pasaran akan meningkat.

“Justeru, kita jangka masalah ini dapat diselesaikan pada Mac tahun depan dan Lembaga Pemasaran Pertanian Persekutuan (FAMA) akan memainkan peranan untuk memastikan bekalan sayur mencukupi di negeri yang terlibat,“ katanya kepada pemberita di bangunan Persatuan Peladang Kawasan (PPK) Bunga Raya di sini hari ini.

Terdahulu, Mohamad menyampaikan Bantuan Khas Sumbangan Tunai (BKST) Fasa 2 kepada 10,628 pesawah di Kelantan yang terjejas banjir tahun ini berjumlah RM6.3 juta.

Beliau berkata kerugian awal dalam sektor pertanian akibat banjir sejak bulan lepas di Kelantan dianggarkan berjumlah RM33.2 juta, membabitkan 4,888 individu.

“Seluas 10,229.12 hektar kawasan pertanian terjejas dengan 9,958.29 hektar kawasan sawah melibatkan 4,207 pesawah manakala selebihnya adalah kawasan perikanan dan tanaman selain padi.

“KPKM bersama jabatan dan agensi di bawahnya sentiasa bersedia membantu semua golongan sasar yang terkesan dengan bencana banjir selaras dengan nilai teras Ihsan di bawah Malaysia MADANI,“ katanya.
