Kes demam denggi menurun pada ME 44, satu kematian dilaporkan

PUTRAJAYA: Kes demam denggi dilaporkan menurun kepada 1,346 kes pada Minggu Epidemiologi (ME) 44 bagi tempoh 27 Okt hingga 2 Nov lepas berbanding 1,521 kes pada minggu sebelumnya.

Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan berkata kematian akibat komplikasi demam denggi juga menurun kepada satu kematian berbanding dua kematian pada minggu sebelumnya.

“Secara kumulatif, jumlah kes demam denggi sehingga ini sebanyak 111,250 kes dengan 102 kematian, berbanding 100,936 kes dan 78 kematian untuk tempoh yang sama pada 2023,“ katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Dr Muhammad Radzi berkata terdapat 27 lokaliti aktif hotspot yang dilaporkan pada ME 44 berbanding minggu sebelumnya.

Beliau berkata daripada 27 lokaliti yang dilaporkan sebanyak 14 di Selangor, empat masing-masing di Negeri Sembilan dan di Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya, dua di Perak dan satu masing-masing di Sabah, Pulau Pinang dan Kelantan.

Dr Muhammad Radzi berkata walaupun terdapat penurunan kes denggi ketika ini, pihak masyarakat tidak boleh leka memandangkan Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia telah mengeluarkan makluman mengenai Monsun Timur Laut (MTL) yang dijangka bermula awal November 2024 hingga Mac 2025.

“Semasa MTL, negara dijangka mengalami peningkatan hujan yang berpotensi meningkatkan banyak kawasan air bertakung yang sesuai untuk pembiakan nyamuk Aedes,“ katanya.

Bbeliau berkata adalah penting bagi pihak masyarakat untuk sentiasa melakukan langkah pencegahan seperti membersihkan kawasan sekitar dan memastikan tiada bekas atau kawasan air bertakung.
