Chief Minister Hajiji Noor calls on Sabah students, especially those abroad, to seek accurate information on state programmes and return to serve after graduation.
IPOH: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has urged students from the state to stay informed about government initiatives. He specifically called on those studying abroad to seek information firsthand.
“Don’t be swayed by stories from outside, when in fact the government is working diligently on programmes for our people,” Hajiji said in a statement. He advised students to ensure they obtain accurate and reliable information about development programmes.
The statement was issued at the launch of the 2026 Rindu Sabah Graduate Assistance and Sabah Student Flight Subsidy programme. The initiative will directly benefit 2,772 Sabah students at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.
Hajiji also urged Sabah graduates from all institutions to return and serve the state. He highlighted ongoing government efforts to resolve key issues like water supply, roads and electricity.
These efforts are expected to see progress within the next one to two years. The state is also working to increase its revenue to better support education and public welfare programmes.
