KUALA LUMPUR: A friendly exchange between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and United States President Donald Trump added personal warmth to the formal signing of the US-Malaysia Reciprocal Trade Agreement.

Both leaders connected effortlessly with warm smiles and friendly remarks during the landmark deal formalisation.

Anwar humorously remarked about acquiring the pen as they prepared to sign the document.

Trump observed Anwar’s signature and commented on its distinctive appearance.

Anwar responded with a grin about Trump’s own famously bold signature.

Trump chuckled and promised to showcase Anwar’s signature to attendees.

After completing his signature, Trump placed his pen near Anwar’s and displayed the Malaysian leader’s signature.

He described Anwar’s signature as very different, very good, and very artistic, prompting applause from the audience.

Trump then presented his pen to Anwar in a final friendly gesture.

Anwar carefully placed the White House pen into his suit pocket as a memento.

This light-hearted moment highlighted the cordial ties between both leaders during the historic bilateral cooperation event. – Bernama
