MPK bolsters ties with media via bowling competition

KLANG: A strong working relationship with the media will contribute significantly to the Klang Municipal Council’s (MPK) efforts in achieving its objectives, said its president Datin Paduka Noraini Roslan.

“By fostering a robust and enduring alliance, MPK aspired to leverage the media’s reach and influence to enhance its ability to connect with the community on various fronts,” she said at a Media Bowling Championship organised by MPK at Klang Bowling Harbour Place on Dec 15.

“This event is aimed not only to recognise the media’s pivotal role but also to strengthen the ongoing partnership between MPK and the media, fostering a dynamic synergy that contributes to the council’s continued success in community engagement and awareness.”

The event drew lively participation with 24 teams of five keglers each. It was launched by Noraini Roslan. Also attending the event were MPK deputy president Zaireezal Ahmad Zainuddin and department heads from the council.

Noraini said the purpose of the event was to express gratitude to media agencies for their cooperation in disseminating information to the public and promoting various programmes, achievements and recognitions received by MPK.

“Without the kind support of sponsors, the event would not have been possible. MPK expressed sincere thanks to the sponsors of the Media Bowling Championship, whose contributions significantly enhanced the success of the event.”

The championship not only provided an opportunity for friendly competition but also strengthened the bond between MPK and the media.
