Sarawak peruntuk RM4.85 juta hadapi peningkatan Covid-19: Uggah

KUCHING: Kerajaan Sarawak memperuntukkan RM4.85 juta sebagai persediaan menghadapi peningkatan kes Covid-19 di negeri ini, kata Timbalan Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

Uggah, yang juga Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Bencana Negeri (SDMC) berkata pembiayaan itu bagi membantu Jabatan Kesihatan Sarawak memperkukuh keupayaan mereka dalam bersedia dan mengatasi trend meningkat kes Covid-19.

Beliau berkata daripada jumlah peruntukan itu, RM2 juga dikhususkan untuk membina hospital lapangan di Kuching dan RM2.1 juta untuk pembelian ubat antiviral Paxlovid.

“RM300,000 diperuntukkan untuk stok kit ujian RTK profesional dan air liur bagi mendapatkan ujian diagnostik yang pantas dan boleh dipercayai untuk mengesan Covid-19.

“Sementara itu, sejumlah RM450,000 diperuntukkan untuk memasang kanopi di kawasan hospital bagi membantu dengan peningkatan pesakit yang datang ke hospital. Kanopi ini akan melindungi dan memberi teduhan kepada pesakit dan petugas perubatan,” katanya dalam sidang media di sini hari ini.

Uggah berkata kerajaan negeri Sarawak juga bersedia untuk menambah jumlah peruntukan itu jika terdapat keperluan.

“Kami turut meminta Jabatan Kesihatan Sarawak untuk meningkatkan komunikasi dengan kerajaan negeri memandangkan kami bersedia untuk membantu dan menyokong mereka dalam menangani Covid-19,” katanya.
