Empat stesen monorel ditutup sementara – Rapid Rail

KUALA LUMPUR: Empat stesen monorel ditutup sementara untuk kerja-kerja pembersihan dan baik pulih susulan insiden pokok tumbang berhampiran Stesen Monorel Bukit Nanas petang tadi.

Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) dalam kenyataan malam ini memaklumkan pihaknya akan melaksanakan perkhidmatan alternatif bagi memastikan kesinambungan perjalanan penumpang bermula pada 6 pagi Rabu ini.

“Empat stesen monorel ditutup kepada orang ramai disebabkan keperluan penutupan bekalan kuasa di landasan bagi memberi laluan kepada kerja-kerja pembersihan dan baik pulih.

“Stesen terbabit ialah Stesen Monorel Bukit Nanas, Stesen Monorel Raja Chulan, Stesen Monorel Bukit Bintang dan Stesen Monorel Imbi,” menurut kenyataan itu.

Kenyataan itu menyebut bagi menyokong perkhidmatan alternatif itu agar penumpang dapat meneruskan perjalanan, Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd (Rapid Bus) akan menyediakan perkhidmatan bas perantara percuma antara stesen yang terjejas.

Rapid Rail turut menyarankan penumpang yang terkesan akibat gangguan luar jangka itu menggunakan perkhidmatan tren lain sebagai alternatif.

Dalam pada itu, kerja-kerja pembersihan dan baik pulih terperinci sedang giat dijalankan oleh Rapid Rail dengan bantuan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur.

“Pihak operasi dan jurutera struktur juga sedang menjalankan pemeriksaan terperinci untuk memastikan pengoperasian penuh dapat dijalankan mengikut standard keselamatan dan piawaian yang telah ditetapkan.

“Sebarang kemas kini akan dimaklumkan secara berkala menerusi saluran media sosial Rapid KL dan aplikasi PULSE,” menurut kenyataan itu.

Rapid Rail turut memohon maaf atas gangguan luar jangka itu dan akan memastikan pengoperasian penuh dapat dijalankan semula secepat mungkin.

Insiden pada kira-kira 2 petang itu menyaksikan seorang lelaki maut manakala dua lagi cedera selepas sebatang pokok tumbang menghempap 17 kenderaan dan landasan monorel akibat hujan lebat serta angin kuat di Jalan Sultan Ismail.
