Rafizi remains committed to executing Economy Ministry’s planned initiatives

IPOH: Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli, who retained his portfolio in the Cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today, has expressed his commitment to continue implementing all the planned initiatives within his ministry.

Rafizi said that anyone who is entrusted with the responsibility of a minister must prioritise serving the country because it is a trust, a privilege and also a burden.

“The duty of a minister is to focus on their job and give their best. If you are retained, Alhamdulillah, it means that the plans you’ve made are considered to add value to the government’s administration, and we will continue our efforts in the ministry.

“Even if I’m asked to take on other duties, I usually choose to view it positively…that I can add value elsewhere,” he told reporters after visiting the project site of the Farming Entrepreneur Initiative (INTAN) under the People’s Income Initiative of the Northern Corridor Economic Region here today.

Rafizi said this when asked to comment on his continued leadership at the Ministry of Economy alongside his deputy, Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, in the Cabinet reshuffle announcement today.

Anwar today announced the appointment of five ministers and five deputy ministers, including four new faces, and the return of five former ministers in the Federal Cabinet.

The announcement also saw the number of ministers in the Cabinet expanded from 28 to 31, while the number of deputy ministers was increased from 27 to 29, bringing the total number of Unity Government administrative members to 60.gnificantly to the economic development of the nation,” EPF said. –Bernama
