Deepavali: Jangka peningkatan 73% kenderaan di Lebuhraya Kuala Lumpur-Karak

KUANTAN: Pemegang konsesi Lebuhraya Kuala Lumpur-Karak (KLK) dan Lebuhraya Pantai Timur Fasa 1 (LPT1) ANIH Berhad menjangkakan 692,000 kenderaan akan menggunakan lebuh raya KLK bagi tempoh empat hari bermula hari ini, iaitu meningkat 73 peratus daripada jumlah purata trafik harian biasa.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutifnya Imran Gulcharan Abdullah berkata jumlah aliran trafik di LPT1 pula dijangka sebanyak 284,000 iaitu meningkat 58 peratus bagi tempoh sama.

“Sebagai persediaan, ANIH Berhad menambah bilangan kakitangan sokongan lebih daripada 60 peratus terdiri daripada petugas di plaza tol, pasukan LPT Ronda dan pasukan pusat kawalan trafik (TCC) sepanjang tempoh itu selain bersedia membuka laluan tambahan tol jika perlu.

“Seramai 150 anggota Jabatan Sukarelawan Malaysia (RELA) ditempatkan di kawasan strategik di seluruh lebuh raya bagi memastikan kelancaran trafik,“ katanya menerusi kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Imran juga menggalakkan pengguna lebuh raya untuk menjadikan Cadangan Waktu Perjalanan (TTA) yang dikeluarkan sebagai panduan antaranya pada hari ini dan esok, mereka yang ingin ke Kelantan dicadangkan memasuki lebuh raya sebelum 10 pagi atau selepas 5 petang, ke Terengganu (sebelum 10 pagi atau selepas 8 malam) dan ke Pahang (selepas 10 pagi atau 8 malam).

Bagi perjalanan ke ibu negara atau Selangor pada Isnin ini, pengguna dari Kelantan disarankan memasuki lebuh raya selepas 3 petang atau 10 malam, dari Terengganu (selepas 11 pagi atau 5 petang) dan dari Pahang (selepas 10 pagi atau 5 petang) .

Pengguna Touch ‘n Go juga diingatkan untuk menyentuh kad pada alat pengesan di lorong tol plaza walaupun kerajaan telah mengumumkan tol percuma sempena perayaan Deepavali, selain perlu memastikan keluar dari lebuh raya pada hari dan tempoh yang telah ditetapkan bagi menikmati tol percuma.
