MANCHESTER: Erling Haaland’s wonderkid cousin Albert Tjaaland has declared his desire to play for Liverpool in the Premier League – exciting supporters over a potential family reunion at Anfield.

Albert Tjaaland, 17, has been tipped to help bring his cousin Erling Haaland to Anfield after revealing his dream of playing for Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Norwegian youngster managed an incredible 64 goals in 37 games while playing for Bryne, and is currently targeting a starting spot in the Molde first-team.

Should he achieve that goal then he would be following in the footsteps of his Champions League sensation cousin, who has been linked with moves to both Spain and England in recent weeks.

The surprise support for Jurgen Klopp’s men has given Liverpool supporters plenty of ideas, with a few hoping that Tjaaland could move to Merseyside in the future and tempt his cousin to join.

Liverpool fans have taken that as a postive connection to his cousin Erling, who continues to shine with Borussia Dortmund as they look to progress past Manchester City in the Champions League.

Tjaaland recently told VG: “I chose Molde because they have very good facilities.

“They received me very well, were interested in me and had good plans for me.

“I look forward to my time in Molde. It is a very nice place where I can develop.

“I talked to him [Haaland]. He said it was a good place to develop but I made the choice myself.”

Erling is currently in Manchester ahead of Dortmund’s clash against City in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, having been asked about his future plans last month.

He said: “I still have three years of contract at Borussia Dortmund.

“I am not worried about that. The media are the ones who write about it.

“I don’t focus on those things. I think only of myself, to improve my game every day.” – Daily Star
