PM in quarantine as Covid-19 close contact, unable to attend swearing-in of Ministers

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pix) is undergoing self-quarantine today after coming into close contact with a Covid-19 patient and is unable to attend the swearing-in of ministers.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement that Ismail Sabri will not attend the swearing-in of ministers and deputy ministers today before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the Istana Negara.

The PMO statement also said that the prime minister will also follow virtually the National Day 2021 celebration scheduled for tomorrow at Dataran Pahlawan Negara in Putrajaya.
