Since entering the list in 2018, Forest City Golf Resort has amassed nearly 20 industry accolades, reinforcing its reputation as a leading destination for high-end golf tourism.

FOREST CITY Golf Resort has strengthened its position in regional golf after its Classic Course climbed to No. 36 in the 2026 Asia’s Top 100 Golf Courses rankings.

The latest standings, announced at the 10th Asia’s Top 100 Golf Courses Awards Ceremony at Hillview Golf Club from April 12-14, mark the resort’s highest-ever placing since debuting on the prestigious list in 2018.

The 14-place jump from last year also extends the Classic Course’s run to seven consecutive years in the Top 100, underscoring its consistency among Asia’s leading golf destinations.

Forest City was also the highest-ranked Malaysian course on this year’s list, finishing ahead of the country’s other representatives.

“Breaking into the top 40 in Asia and being recognised as Malaysia’s highest-ranked course this year is a meaningful milestone for us. It reflects the steady progress we have made in elevating both the course standards and overall golfing experience,” said Anson Li Jun Wei, the General Manager of Forest City Vacation Tourism.

“Our focus has always been on maintaining strong course conditions while ensuring playability for golfers of all levels. This consistency is what has allowed us to remain competitive on the regional stage over the years,” he added.

Co-organised by the Chinese and Korean editions of Golf Travel magazine, the rankings are widely regarded as one of the most influential benchmarks in Asian golf, with courses evaluated on design, playability, aesthetics, and technical challenge.

Since entering the list in 2018, Forest City Golf Resort has amassed nearly 20 industry accolades, reinforcing its reputation as a leading destination for high-end golf tourism.

The resort’s growing appeal is reflected in its visitor numbers, with more than 100,000 golfers recorded in 2025, making it one of Malaysia’s most-visited golf facilities.

“We see this as motivation to keep improving. The goal is to further raise our standards and position ourselves among the very best golf destinations in Asia,” said Anson.

Forest City’s continued rise highlights its ability to combine championship-level course conditions with scenic coastal surroundings — a balance that continues to attract golfers from across the region.
