The Unity Government continues to prioritise political stability, economic growth and people’s welfare, says Saifuddin Nasution.

SEREMBAN: The Unity Government will continue to focus on three main thrusts, namely maintaining political stability, driving economic prosperity and safeguarding the welfare of the people, said Pakatan Harapan (PH) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

He said these principles form the foundation of the Unity Government and have guided its administration over the past three years.

“This government was built on mutual trust and respect. These values are the reason I commend Tok Min (Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun) for maintaining victory in Negeri Sembilan and governing effectively,” he said at a “Ceramah Perdana Pimpinan Utama PH” programme today.

Also present were Aminuddin, who is also the Negeri Sembilan PH chairman, Amanah President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke.

Saifuddin Nasution also expressed confidence in the continuity of the existing leadership, with the current term remaining for less than two years.

“We have strong confidence in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. We want him to continue leading for the remainder of this term and into a second term. Our direction is clear… to secure another mandate, starting with strengthening Negeri Sembilan under Tok Min’s leadership,” he said.

He added that the government would continue prioritising public welfare while ensuring the continuity of economic policies amid global uncertainties.

“The world is facing multiple crises, including energy challenges, which we discuss weekly at the Economic Action Council. We remain committed to protecting the people’s welfare and ensuring economic stability,” he said.

Meanwhile, Loke stressed that political consensus among coalition parties is crucial to sustaining stability at both state and federal levels.

Commenting on the recent political developments in Negeri Sembilan, he said they offered valuable lessons, particularly the importance of remaining calm and acting rationally during crises.

He assured that all 17 PH assemblymen in the state remain united in supporting the current leadership to fulfil the people’s mandate.

“We want a stable state so that the country remains stable. This is essential to ensure that the Federal Government under Anwar Ibrahim can continue to function effectively,” he said, urging elected representatives and party machinery to stay focused on addressing rakyat issues and ensuring smooth governance.

Aminuddin, meanwhile, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining steady and orderly development in Negeri Sembilan.

He said despite recent political challenges, the state government’s priority remains the well-being of the people, including education, economic stability and efforts to attract investment.
