WASHINGTON: The US authorities hope that the UFC fight scheduled for June 14 on the South Lawn of the White House will become an incredible spectacle, US Chief of Protocol Monica Crowley said on Wednesday, Sputnik/RIA Novosti reported.
“It’s going to be the most extraordinary thing. Quite a spectacle,” Crowley stated in an interview with Breitbart News.
Crowley added that the construction of the octagon for the upcoming fight would begin at the end of May.
US President Donald Trump has promised that the UFC event on the grounds of the residence would be the largest of its kind, with giant screens installed on adjacent streets for the public.
The American leader expects tens of thousands of people to come and watch the fight in the heart of the US capital.
