Dua pasukan khas siasat insiden PTP, tren Butterworth dan KLIA

KUALA LUMPUR: Kementerian Pengangkutan menubuhkan dua pasukan petugas khas bagi menyiasat insiden letupan kontena di Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) dan insiden tren komuter terlajak di Stesen Butterworth.

Menteri Pengangkutan Anthony Loke berkata penubuhan pasukan itu diputuskan dalam Mesyuarat Pasca-Kabinet bagi memastikan siasatan dijalankan secara telus dan bebas.

Beliau berkata mesyuarat itu turut meneliti insiden limpahan air hujan di Terminal 1 Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA).

Insiden letupan kontena di PTP pada 7 November mengakibatkan tiga kematian dan tiga lagi cedera.

Pasukan petugas akan meneliti aspek operasi, pematuhan keselamatan serta mekanisme pengendalian kargo berbahaya.

Manakala insiden tren komuter kosong yang terlajak di Stesen Butterworth berlaku pada 8 November.

Pasukan petugas akan menilai punca insiden serta keperluan penambahbaikan bagi mengelakkan kejadian berulang.

Loke berkata Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) diarah membuka kertas siasatan terhadap pemandu tren dan mengambil tindakan susulan.

Berhubung insiden KLIA, kejadian limpahan air dikenal pasti berlaku semasa kerja-kerja kalis air dijalankan oleh kontraktor Teras Budi Resources Sdn Bhd.

Kontrak bernilai RM5.27 juta itu bermula 15 April 2025 hingga 14 April 2026.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) mengeluarkan arahan henti kerja bagi membolehkan siasatan dalaman dan tindakan pembetulan.

Loke mengarahkan MAHB mengambil tindakan tegas terhadap kontraktor atas kecuaian yang menyebabkan insiden tersebut.

MOT menegaskan keselamatan pengguna dan integriti operasi adalah keutamaan tertinggi.

Operator di bawah sektor pengangkutan diingatkan mematuhi sepenuhnya prosedur keselamatan dan melaksanakan kerja penyelenggaraan secara berterusan.

MOT akan memaklumkan perkembangan lanjut hasil siasatan kedua-dua pasukan petugas dari semasa ke semasa.
