Adira Suhaimi and daughter Anggrek claim TTMM2 title, taking home RM30,000 and a recording opportunity
SHAH ALAM: Popular singer Adira Suhaimi and her eldest daughter Anggrek Adenan emerged as champions of the second season of reality competition ‘Talk To My Manager’ (TTMM2) during the grand finale held at the Shah Alam City Council auditorium here last night.
Their victory saw the mother-daughter duo, who competed as manager and contestant respectively, take home RM30,000 in cash, gold and a holiday package, as well as a trophy and an opportunity to record a single.
Adira said she did not join the competition with the intention of winning, but rather to give her nine-year-old daughter an opportunity to gain experience and exposure in the entertainment industry.
She said the show’s unique format, which evaluates not only vocal ability but also stage performance and the manager’s role, was a key factor in her decision to participate.
“I never imagined that we would win. This is an unexpected blessing for both of us and I am grateful to everyone who supported us and shared their feedback throughout the competition,” she told reporters at a press conference after the finale.
Adira described Anggrek as a resilient contestant who consistently strived to deliver her best despite the challenges she faced throughout the competition.
“Many people said the songs I selected for her were too difficult for someone her age, but I believe that if we do not challenge her, we will never know the extent of her potential. Anggrek is a strong child who is always eager to try new things,” she said.
During the grand finale, Anggrek performed ‘Aku Stacy’ as a solo act and later teamed up with Aisha Retno for a duet rendition of ‘Sutera’.
Meanwhile, Hussain and his manager Jamilulhayat, a singer popular in the 1980s, finished as runners-up, while entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida and her daughter Cik B secured third place.
Producer Datuk A. Aida and her second daughter Azeva came in fourth, while Safura and Kim Khairii finished fifth.
