Malaysia Airlines temporarily modifies check-in services at KL CAT in KL Sentral from July to December 2026, promoting digital check-in.
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines is making temporary adjustments to its check-in operations at Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal (KL CAT) in KL Sentral from July 1 to Dec 31, 2026, as part of its efforts to improve the travel experience for passengers.
The national carrier said in a post on X that passengers are encouraged to complete their check-in via its website or mobile application before travelling.
“Services available at KL CAT during this period include self-service check-in kiosks, self-bag drop (SBD) facilities and a limited assisted check-in counter,” it said.
According to its website, one assisted check-in counter will remain available daily from 6 am to 8 pm during the period for business class and eligible priority passengers, while continuing to support economy class passengers when required.
It added that passengers who require full check-in assistance can continue to use any check-in counters available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA T1), and are advised to arrive at least three hours before departure to allow sufficient time for check-in, security screening, and travel document verification.
“Malaysia Airlines remains committed to providing a seamless and efficient travel experience and appreciates passengers’ understanding and continued support during this temporary adjustment,” it added.
