PETALING JAYA: Global hospitality leader Accor and Tropicana Corporation Bhd, one of Malaysia’s leading property developers, have signed a hotel management agreement for Mercure Living Genting Highlands.
This brings together global hospitality expertise and sustainable township living to introduce a new extended-stay offering in one of Malaysia’s most established leisure destinations.
This signing further strengthens Tropicana’s expansion into the hospitality sector, supporting its strategy to create recurring income streams while offering homeowners a professionally managed branded hospitality asset backed by Accor’s global standards, operational expertise and international loyalty ecosystem.
Mercure Living Genting Highlands will be integrated into the TwinPines Serviced Suites at Tropicana Grandhill, a 112-acre wellness-focused precinct within the 596-acre Tropicana WindCity township in Genting Highlands.
The integration of the internationally recognised Mercure brand enhances Tropicana WindCity’s positioning as a premier highland destination while offering buyers a turnkey lifestyle solution professionally managed to Accor’s global standards.
Scheduled to open in 2028, the development will comprise 1,443 fully furnished suites designed to meet the evolving needs of long-stay guests, leisure travellers and homeowners.
Accor Asia premium, midscale & economy division chief operating officer Garth Simmons said: “Mercure Living Genting Highlands represents an exciting opportunity to expand our extended-stay offering in Malaysia through a collaboration with one of the country’s leading developers.
