Pakatan Harapan leads in Bentayan but MCA wins Tangkak from DAP in unofficial Johor state election results.
PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan (PH) appears set to secure its first victory in the Johor state election, with its candidate leading in the Bentayan constituency, according to unofficial results.
The unofficial tally showed PH’s candidate receiving 9,094 votes, ahead of the Barisan Nasional (BN) contender, who garnered 5,360 votes at the time of reporting.
However, MCA has managed to wrest Tangkak from DAP, with its candidate securing 8,260 votes compared with PH’s 5,468 votes.
Meanwhile, BN has also claimed victory in Bekok, where its candidate obtained 9,924 votes against PH’s 5,874 votes.
The figures are unofficial and subject to change as vote counting continues.
