PENANG: THMY Holdings Bhd, an automated test solutions provider for electrical and electronics (E&E) products, marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony of its new factory and corporate office in Batu Kawan Industrial Park, Pulau Pinang.

The milestone reinforces the group’s commitment to expanding its production capabilities and supporting its long-term growth strategy.

Following the commencement of construction works, this new factory is targeted for completion by the second quarter of 2028.

Designed to support THMY’s next phase of expansion, the purpose-built factory will significantly enhance the group’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities as well as the overall operational efficiency.

The new factory will initially accommodate 20 advanced automated test solution workstations, enabling THMY to support higher production volumes and meet customers’ increasingly sophisticated testing requirements.

The expansion is expected to strengthen the group’s ability to capitalise on the growing demand for automated test solutions, particularly across data centre, artificial intelligence and cloud computing applications, while reinforcing its position within the regional E&E manufacturing ecosystem.

The new factory will provide additional production floor space for the group, significantly increasing THMY’s manufacturing capacity and engineering capabilities to scale its operations and undertake larger, more complex projects.

Executive director and CEO Ooi Can Nix said the groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone in THMY’s growth journey.

“This new factory and corporate office reflect our confidence in the long-term prospects of the automated test solutions industry and our commitment towards strengthening our manufacturing capabilities to support customers’ evolving requirements.

“The new factory will significantly enhance our production capacity and engineering capabilities.

“This investment positions THMY to capture growing opportunities while laying a strong foundation for our next phase of sustainable growth,” he said.
