Anwar confident Sabah voters will make wise election choices

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expresses confidence in Sabah voters’ political maturity ahead of Saturday’s state election involving 1.76 million voters.

KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed confidence that Sabah voters possess the political maturity to choose the best representatives in Saturday’s state election.

“I hope Sabah makes a wise decision,” he told reporters after attending the ‘PMX Sayang Sabah Bersama Pemuda Inanam’ town hall session.

“The people are mature and capable of choosing well.”

Anwar said his two-day visit aimed to provide moral support to all Pakatan Harapan candidates contesting in the election.

He emphasised the importance of Sabah’s youth in determining the state’s future direction.

“You are the future,” Anwar told the town hall audience.

“The youth of today will determine the future path.”

He urged young voters to choose leaders with responsibility and integrity.

“You want to make Malaysia and Sabah great, then let us work together as a team,” he said.

A total of 1.76 million voters will cast their ballots in the 17th Sabah State Election this Saturday.

Seventy-three seats are being contested in the election.
