MPs will question the government on debt reduction, internal audits of ministers’ officers, refugee rights and housing issues in today’s Dewan Rakyat sitting.
KUALA LUMPUR: The latest national debt figures and internal audits of ministers’ officers are set to be key topics in today’s Dewan Rakyat sitting.
Syahredzan Johan (PH-Bangi) will ask the Prime Minister to outline the government’s approach to reducing new borrowings.
He will also seek elaboration on the debt repayment strategy to ensure national debt and fiscal deficits continue to decline.

Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (PN-Masjid Tanah) will ask if the government plans to conduct internal audits on ministers’ officers.
This follows the Prime Minister’s recent call for stricter monitoring of government officials.
During the oral question session, Wong Chen (PH-Subang) will question the Home Affairs Minister on the Refugee Registration Document System (DPP).
He will ask for the timeline and plan to expand the system to facilitate refugees’ access to education and healthcare.
Aminolhuda Hassan (PH-Sri Gading) will question the Housing Minister on eligible Malaysians failing to secure affordable homes.
He will also seek updates on measures to address abandoned housing projects impacting first-time buyers.
Mohd Nazri Abu Hassan (PN-Merbok) will ask the Works Minister about studies on Cup Lump Modified Asphalt technology.
He will inquire if this technology is a viable alternative to current road surfacing methods.
Following the Q&A session, the Human Resources Minister will table two amendment bills.
The bills are the Employees’ Social Security (Amendment) Bill 2025 and the Employment Insurance System (Amendment) Bill 2025.
The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament will run for 35 days.
