New Putrajaya Corporation president prioritises cleanliness and on-ground presence

Datuk Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir, the new PPj president, focuses on service quality, officer presence, and infrastructure maintenance in Putrajaya

PUTRAJAYA: Newly appointed Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) president Datuk Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir says his leadership will prioritise improving cleanliness and increasing the on-ground presence of officers.

He also aims to ensure more effective infrastructure maintenance across the federal administrative capital.

Mohd Sakeri stated that PPj must ensure service quality consistently meets the highest standards, as public and stakeholder expectations are high.

“I view the presence of officers on the ground as very important, not to look for faults, but to provide courteous reminders and guidance so that customer wellbeing is well taken care of,” he said.

The president, now in his third week helming PPj, said he is conducting a thorough review of operations before detailing any reforms.

He acknowledged the solid foundation laid by the seven previous presidents, noting his role is to strengthen continuity and identify areas for improvement.

Mohd Sakeri also stressed the importance of scheduled infrastructure maintenance to ensure public assets remain functional longer.

He led the PPj Integrated Health and Premises Cleanliness Operation today, involving the Putrajaya Health Office and other agencies.

The inspection focused on food premises cleanliness and compliance in the sale of tobacco and vape products.

A total of 38 premises were inspected, resulting in 15 compounds and 22 warning notices issued. – Bernama
