MetMalaysia warns of continuous rain in Johor and Sarawak until Dec 9, with alerts for Segamat, Kuching, Sibu and other affected areas
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain alert for several districts in Johor and Sarawak.
Director-General Dr Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip said the alert level warning is in effect for Johor until Sunday.
The affected districts in Johor are Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru.
In Sarawak, the alert covers Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei and Sibu districts until Sunday.
Several other Sarawak districts are under alert until Monday, December 9.
These include Mukah, Bintulu and the Miri divisions of Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi.
