Sektor seni catat penyertaan terendah dalam skim Lindung Kendiri

Hanya 9,660 pekerja seni berdaftar dengan PERKESO, mewakili 1.12% daripada 860,016 pencarum Skim Keselamatan Sosial Pekerjaan Sendiri

KUALA LUMPUR: Sektor seni kekal sebagai kumpulan dengan liputan perlindungan sosial terendah di bawah Skim Keselamatan Sosial Pekerjaan Sendiri (LINDUNG Kendiri).

Menteri Sumber Manusia Steven Sim berkata setakat bulan lepas, seramai 860,016 pencarum bekerja sendiri telah berdaftar dengan Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO).

Namun, hanya 9,660 atau 1.12% daripada jumlah itu datang daripada sektor seni.

“Oleh itu, kita akan menggandakan usaha dan memperluas hebahan mengenai peruntukan caruman padanan, khususnya dalam kalangan penggiat seni kerana mereka juga terdedah kepada pelbagai risiko pekerjaan luar jangka,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian selepas menghadiri Program Muzikalisasi LINDUNG: Hati Nan Prihatin di ibu negara.

Sim berkata usaha meningkatkan penyertaan sektor seni perlu dipergiatkan melalui pendekatan caruman padanan.

Kerajaan memperuntukkan subsidi hingga 70% bagi caruman LINDUNG Kendiri dalam Belanjawan 2026, termasuk untuk sektor yang belum diwajibkan.

PERKESO telah menyalurkan manfaat kepada 6,815 pencarum LINDUNG Kendiri antara Januari hingga Oktober tahun ini.

Jumlah pembayaran manfaat mencecah RM25.9 juta.

Tumpuan PERKESO kini ialah meningkatkan kefahaman dan penyertaan dalam industri seni.

Pekerja seni sering beroperasi secara bebas tanpa majikan tetap, menjadikan mereka antara kumpulan paling terdedah kepada risiko kehilangan pendapatan.
