Ministers extend birthday wishes to Sultan of Selangor on 80th birthday

Cabinet ministers congratulate Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah on his 80th birthday, praying for his health and continued reign over Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR: Cabinet ministers have extended their congratulations to the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil was among those who posted well-wishes on social media.

He prayed that His Royal Highness and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, would always be under Allah’s protection.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said also conveyed her prayers.

She prayed for the Sultan to be granted long life and remain steadfast on the throne of Selangor Darul Ehsan.

“I also pray that Their Royal Highnesses, their children and the entire Selangor Royal family will always be blessed with enduring health, divine grace and honour by Allah SWT,” she said.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar and his staff also offered prayers.

They prayed for the Sultan’s long life under the protection of Allah’s blessings.

“In addition, may His Royal Highness be blessed with good health and well-being,” he added.

He also prayed for the Sultan to be endowed with wisdom in guiding Selangor and its people.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad conveyed congratulations on behalf of his ministry.

He shared the prayers of all Health Ministry members for the Sultan’s continued blessings.

“May Allah grant long life to Tuanku and bless His Royal Highness’ reign. Daulat, Tuanku,” he posted on Facebook. – Bernama
