Ahmad Zahid: BN belum terima surat rasmi MIC berhubung usul keluar

Pengerusi BN Ahmad Zahid Hamidi berkata gabungan itu belum menerima surat rasmi daripada MIC berhubung usul parti itu untuk keluar

SEMENYIH: Pengerusi Barisan Nasional (BN) Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi memaklumkan bahawa pihaknya masih belum menerima sebarang surat rasmi daripada MIC berhubung usul parti itu untuk keluar daripada gabungan tersebut.

Beliau berkata tiada keputusan akan dibuat selagi tiada resolusi atau surat diterima daripada MIC.

“Dan tentunya kita tidak membuat sebarang keputusan, tetapi kalau mereka tidak dapat membuat keputusan, kita (BN) akan membuat keputusan (mengenai MIC keluar dari BN),” katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Perhimpunan Agung Barisan Kemajuan India Se-Malaysia (IPF Malaysia) di sini.

Ahmad Zahid berkata tiada pertemuan diadakan antara BN dan MIC selepas perhimpunan agung tahunan MIC yang meluluskan usul berkenaan.

Beliau turut mengingatkan parti komponen dalam BN untuk berfikir panjang sebelum membuat keputusan meninggalkan gabungan yang telah lama dimeterai.

“Landskap politik akan berubah, saya yakin akan berubah sebab dalam tempoh 24 bulan untuk menuju Pilihan Raya Umum ke-16, pelbagai perkara boleh berlaku dan ia hampir pasti akan berlaku,” katanya.

Ahmad Zahid menasihati agar tidak menyesal jika keputusan tidak dibuat dengan mempertimbangkan perubahan landskap politik yang akan datang.

Ditanya sama ada BN akan mempertimbangkan untuk menerima IPF sebagai parti teras, beliau berkata perkara itu tertakluk kepada persetujuan semua parti komponen secara konsensus.

“Oleh kerana kita tertakluk kepada perlembagaan BN, semua parti dalam gabungan BN mesti secara konsensus sebulat suara bersetuju untuk menerima mana-mana parti yang menyertai BN sebagai parti teras,” jelasnya.

Beliau menambah bahawa kekangan perlembagaan BN itu juga menyebabkan banyak parti lain tidak diterima sebagai parti teras gabungan. – Bernama
