Azam Baki cadang TPR terlibat kes dadah direhatkan dari tugas

CYBERJAYA: Ketua Pesuruhjaya Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) Tan Sri Azam Baki akan mencadangkan kepada Peguam Negara Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar supaya Timbalan Pendakwa Raya (TPR) yang ditahan polis semalam kerana disyaki memiliki dadah direhatkan daripada menjalankan tugas sementara siasatan dijalankan.

Azam berkata TPR berkenaan baru sahaja melaporkan diri di suruhanjaya itu sebagai pegawai pinjaman dari Jabatan Peguam Negara (AGC) dan insiden berkenaan adalah di luar jangka dan sudah disiasat polis.

Beliau sendiri akan berbincang dan mencadangkan kepada Peguam Negara supaya pegawai ini direhatkan terlebih dahulu untuk tidak menjalankan apa-apa jua pendakwaan kes di mahkamah dan dia pun baru sahaja melaporkan diri kepada SPRM.

Mengulas mengenai proses tapisan kesihatan termasuk ujian saringan dadah dibuat terhadap pegawai terbabit, Azam berkata perkara itu adalah tertakluk kepada prosedur AGC memandangkan individu berkenaan berkhidmat di bawah jabatan tersebut.

Sudah tentu tapisan termasuk ujian saringan dadah dibuat kepada semua penjawat awam termasuk TPR itu.

Ini satu perkara yang pada beliau adalah tindakan pegawai sendiri yang mengambil dadah dan sebagainya, sekiranya ada.

Terdahulu, SPRM mengesahkan seorang TPR yang baru melaporkan diri minggu lepas ditahan polis semalam kerana disyaki memiliki dadah.

SPRM memaklumkan TPR terbabit ditahan di kediamannya dan pemeriksaan polis telah menemukan bahan terlarang disyaki dadah di rumah berkenaan. – Bernama
