RON97, unsubsidised RON95 and diesel prices fall for the week of Dec 18-24, while subsidised RON95 remains at RM1.99 per litre.
KUALA LUMPUR: Retail fuel prices will decrease nationwide for the week of December 18 to 24.
The Ministry of Finance announced the retail price of RON97 petrol will drop by three sen to RM3.24 per litre.
Unsubsidised RON95 petrol will decrease by two sen to RM2.62 per litre for the same period.
The retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will fall by four sen to RM3.02 per litre.
Diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
The subsidised price for RON95 petrol under the Budi MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) scheme stays at RM1.99 per litre.
“The government will continue to monitor market developments, and adjust the retail prices of RON97, RON95 and diesel, by taking into account global oil price movements and ensuring price stability,” the ministry stated.
Weekly fuel price determinations are based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.
“The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes, and take appropriate measures to safeguard the people’s welfare and well-being,” the statement added. – Bernama
